SINO-CEEF Capital Management Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as SINO-CEEF), launched by ICBC, announces that its second fund SINO-CEE Fund II is established in Luxembourg on 10 November 2022, and will steadily carry out investment activities in Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries.
SINO-CEEF is a market-oriented private equity investment company registered in Hong Kong, and SINO-CEE Fund under its management is China’s first non-sovereign regional cooperation fund. Since its founding in Luxembourg on 26 November 2016, the Fund has made cumulative investments worth of 533 million euros in Europe.
SINO-CEEF explains that, based on successful experience from SINO-CEE Fund, the company has now rolled out Fund II in considering the latest global trends and market demands. In compliance with the company’s vision of “Prosperity of the world remains our eternal struggle”, the Fund II will focus on CEE countries, embark on renewable energy industries as its major domain, and is committed to realizing a perfect mix between sustainable development of mankind and sustainability of the company.
When asked why SINO-CEE Fund II will embark on renewable energy industries as its major domain, SINO-CEEF explains that sustainable development issues including climate change are common challenges in China, Europe and other parts of the world and require joint efforts from all mankind in the global village. The sustained economic growth in CEE and urgent need for renewable energy transformation will create an enormous market and steady return, and it deserves participation of global capital that share the vision of a more sustainable world.
